Visits and meetings in the NGO centres with NGOs that applied for support of NGOs
The NGO Support Centres Project Office team organises visits and meetings in the NGO centres with NGOs that applied for support of NGOs in Debar, Delcevo, Kratovo, Negotino, Strumica, Gevgelija, Struga and Resen, but weren’t awarded grants from Foundation Open Society Institute- Macedonia.
At the meeting, the NGOs will receive information about the process of decision making, about the members of Grant committee and specific information for each project for the reasons why they didn’t receive funding. NGO Support Center–Strumica
Forum on decentralization and building open government
Forum “Decentralization process and building open government in Republic of Macedonia” has been organized by the NGO Support Center – Strumica on May 23, 2005. Mayor of Strumica, Mr. Zoran Zaev, welcomed the forum. Ms. Tanja Altandzieva, deputy-minister of local self-government lectured on “Law on local self-government and decentralization process as foundation for better local governance” and Mr. Vasilis Maragos, representative of the European Commission Delegation in Macedonia, lectured on “The role of local self-government in EU integration process” and Mr. Vasilis Vasilatos, EU CARDS team leader – Technical support for implementation and coordination of the decentralization process project.
The mayors of Strumica, Delchevo, Radovish, Vasilevo and Bosilovo, president of the municipality Negotino council, representatives of the abovementioned municipalities, Liljana Ivanovska, MP from Strumica, NGOs from Strumica, Gevgelija, Kratovo, Negotino, Delchevo and Berovo attended the forum. Municipality of Strumica and NGO support center signed the Agreement for cooperation. |
